ISO organises European Student Conference

We are happy to announce that the European Student Convention will start tomorrow in Amsterdam; the international student conference we have organised in cooperation with the LSVb and the European Students Union (ESU).  Coinciding with the Dutch Presidency of the European Council, the convention takes place in The Netherlands this year.  From the 9th until the 12th of March we will be hosting the conference and welcome national student associations from almost all countries in Europe. The main theme of the conference is ‘Modernisation of Higher Education’, and together we will discuss the three subthemes digitalisation, internationalisation and curriculum design.  Following the official opening on Wednesday morning we will offer workshops, lectures and debates, provided by plenty of experts and guest speakers.

As such, there will be lectures on modernising education through digitalisation, modern forms of giving feedback, or Gamification. We will discuss various relevant topics in higher education that transcend national borders, such as open access, international mobility, automatic recognition of degrees. Among others, the ‘Best Lecturer of 2015’, a Dutch Senator for the Liberal Party, Chair of Inholland University, and even the Dutch Minister for Education will make their contribution to this conference. Undoubtedly, this will be a unique opportunity to get inspired, have constructive discussions, and share new ideas.

Apart from the program filled with interesting lectures and workshops on higher education in Europe, we are excited to welcome our fellow student representatives in the Netherlands and show them around in Amsterdam.
